This course is intended for individuals who wish to acquire a broad professional basis in the expanding creative internet and new media technologies. The course offers exciting possibilities for collaborative or interdisciplinary work and collaborative ventures between scientists and artistic disciplines. It equips students with a broad professional base for an increasingly demanding industry. The programme is designed for students from either art & design or computer science backgrounds who are keen to develop their skills in this unique cross-disciplinary field. It offers a highly innovative approach for both creative practice and the expanding field of internet technology. There is an emphasis on the relationships between practice, theory and internet programming. Areas of study include; Internet Essentials, Critical Theory and Contemporary Issues, Research Methods, Studio and Professional Practice, Media Design, Web Site Management, MA Project, Internet Development, Networking & Database Design and Development.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should normally hold a good Honours degree in an art and design subject. Students will be invited to attend an interview and a portfolio of work should be presented for discussion and perusal by the programme team.
