Course Description
Compulsory and optional modules are taken from Graphic Design, Photography & Video, Textiles/Surface Design, Visual Arts and Art & Design History pathways. The course aims to cross traditional Art & Design boundaries. Modules include use of computers in the area. Choices of modules are negotiated and agreed in terms of anticipated learning outcomes.

Assessment method
ART & DESIGN: Each module has its own clearly published assessment pattern, and the approach to assessment used is chosen to reflect the unique nature of each module. Practical modules are assessed both summatively and progressively, linking practice with written work, against a published list of learning outcomes. In academic modules, the essay and the seminar paper are the usual means whereby students' learning outcomes are assessed.
Entry Requirements
Relevant art and design qualification (Diploma in Foundation Studies, BTEC National Diploma, appropriate GCE A Levels, relevant Access course, or equivalent), plus a portfolio of your existing work. Some universities and colleges also provide 'Entry Profiles' which give applicants to higher education more detailed information on the courses they want to study, qualifications required, selection criteria, etc. There are strict deadlines for application to UCAS courses.
