Course Description
This programme prepares students for careers in the commercial art world, an international 30 billion plus industry. The MA in Art Business is designed for students who want to understand business theories and practices as well as the technical and structural elements of the art market. The course is aimed at students who already have an art history degree, anyone wishing to pursue a career in this field, and business school graduates wishing to specialise in the art market. Art business deals with traditional business topics and specialised subjects including: art law; the structure and mechanisms of the art market; and art valuation. Business training includes: finance; investment and insurance; management and strategy; ethics and marketing art.

Entry Requirements
All postgraduate programmes (MA & PG Dip) require the completion of a BA degree or equivalent. It is suggested that those without formal art history backgrounds discuss their qualifications with the Institute's Admissions Manager by phone prior to submitting an application. Prospective students who have an undergraduate degree in a subject other than art history and no other art background may qualify for admission through a satisfactory grade in one of the one-semester programmes.
