Course Description
European imperialism has been a major element of world history over the last 500 years. By drawing on a range of examples, mainly from across the British Empire, this module explores the impact of imperialism on western art and architecture, and considers the role of visual material in shaping the attitudes and ideas that underpinned, informed and even challenged imperialism.
