Course Description
A wide range of assessment methods is used, with a balance between coursework and examinations. A course designed for people who would like to qualify and work as architect-planners. After four years, students may continue on the March course for a further two years, or may leave to take employment as town planners. The award is recognised by the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Board as giving exemption from RIBA Part 1 examinations and is accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute as providing the academic qualifications for entry to the planning profession. Students who finish after 4 years may continue their architectural studies on a part-time basis. A work placement is included. This course is accredited by RTPI, (Royal Town Planning Institute).
