Course Description
A research degree equipping students to undertake supervised research in the field of architectural history and theory by giving insight into innovative work and research methodology. Preparatory teaching and feedback are given on essays and seminar papers. This programme could be particularly useful to architects seeking to develop their academic potential, possibly into an academic career. Students attend lectures on specialist historical topics, specific research methodology, and guided visits to important archives. Students then prepare seminar papers, from which a topic for dissertation is selected. Exceptional students can submit a proposal for further research, and progress to a PhD.

Entry Requirements
A good first degree in architecture, art history, or Combined Honours. Minimum English requirements: IELTS 7.0 (with not less than 6.5 in each of the four components); TOEFL 600 for paper-based test or 250 for computer-based test.
Venue Description
Childcare facilities are available on site. Early booking of sessions is strongly recommended due to high demand of limited places.
