Archaeology allows students to develop an in-depth knowledge about a range of periods and places, as well as the broad variety of techniques and skills that archaeologists use to engage with the past; students have the opportunity to take part in field work locally, elsewhere in the UK and abroad; the Forensic Science course provides students with a sound knowledge of archaeological periods and the techniques of forensic archaeology and anthropology (including the study of human remains); it gives an insight into the forensic techniques used in criminal cases.
