Course Description
This degree trains students in the theory and practice of the archaeological investigation and interpretation of historic building and structures, in Britain and western Europe. The students will have to undertake five compulsory modules and then chose a further four modules. It also includes dissertation plus compulsory modules, which are; History and Concepts, Building Survey I, Medieval Buildings I, Post Medieval Buildings I, Skills/Practical Project and the recommended modules which include Buildings Survey II with CAD, Legislation and Policy, Medieval Buildings II and Post Medieval Buildings II.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should hold a good honours degree in archaeology or a related subject or have relevant professional experience. Applicants without sufficient previous experience of fieldwork, may be required in the summer preceding entry, to attend for three weeks an approved excavation or one of the department of archaeology's training excavations.
