This is a level 2 course and it is equivalent to the second year of full-time campus-based study for a BA in Archaeology; successful completion currently guarantees entry into our level 3 distance-learning course which completes a full BA in Archaeology, or to the third year of on-campus study, but may be subject to capping.
Comprises the following 20-credit modules: fieldschool (at Leicester or elsewhere by arrangement); archaeological theory; the rise of states in the Old World; the Mediterranean in the Medieval World; interpreting archaeological evidence: material culture and environment; being human: evolution and prehistory.
