Applicants are expected to have an Honours degree (upper 2nd class degree or equivalent, that is, 60 percent or above overall) in a relevant subject, such as language, literature or linguistics; if applicants hold their degree in a non-language-related field, applicants may be admitted provided they can demonstrate that they have the required competence in English and Arabic; English language requirements include an IELTS of at least 7.0 (with no element below 6.5), or TOEFL iBT 102 (no element below 25).
