Course structure: 12-week core course which provides comprehensive background to biology, environment and management of farmed aquatic animals; intensive 14-week advanced course: covers systematic pathology, microbiology, parasitology, immunology, pharmacology and other subjects relevant to disease diagnoses and health control in aquaculture; core and advanced courses comprise lectures, practical work, field visits to laboratories, aquaculture establishments and research stations; 3-month research project leading to thesis.
