Course Overview
To examine physical and psychological patient needs, and explores pharmacological and non-pharmacological methodologies and practices. Develop an understanding of effective symptom relief strategies. Evaluate the multi-professional team and working practices within different settings across the health community.

What will I learn?
Module Aims:
To understand and evaluate a range of approaches to delivering palliative care for individuals and their families.

You will learn to:

• Critically evaluate the appropriateness of different approaches to palliative care and identify how to solve problems in the delivery of palliative care
• Understand and critically evaluate established techniques and aspects for assessing and planning palliative care across a range of disciplines and propose solutions to problems arising from that analysis
• Critical Analysis of problems and needs in relation to specialist providers and services
• Understand and critically evaluate differing approaches to symptoms and symptom relief

Assessment Method
Assessment is 100% coursework which will include case studies and presentations.

If you are employed within a private sector business and do not already have a similar qualification at this level it is likely that due to current funding you will only have to pay half price.
