These housing apprenticeships are designed to provide work-based training, development and new learning opportunities, to develop your knowledge and skills within the work place, including local authorities, housing associations and supported housing. It is also suitable if you work with private sector landlords. This qualification is suitable for housing assistants, caretakers, concierges, personal carers in supported housing, hostel workers, call and control centre operators, tenants and residents, as well as those working in lettings and allocations, housing management, homelessness and advice, supported housing, repairs and maintenance, tenant participation and management.
There are no formal entry requirements, but ideally the candidate should be educated to level 2 and must be working within the field and ideally working over 30 hours per week. All candidates will need to attend an information session before starting the programme. All candidates will need to undertake a literacy & numeracy assessment prior to starting the apprenticeship training.
