This programme encompasses both sport science modules and coaching modules; the sport science modules provide a balanced academic and vocationally relevant programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required for the assessment and enhancement of sports performance; the modules are multidisciplinary, including physiology, psychology and biomechanics; these modules provide students with 'hands-on' sport science support skills; the sport science modules have been designed to meet these requirements by creating a curriculum that is not only grounded in sound academic theory, but also applies these principles in realworld contexts; the 1st year of the programme provides a solid foundation in the 3 sport science disciplines; in the 2nd year of the programme students will learn how to assess the strengths and weaknesses of performers from a multidisciplinary sport science perspective; the final year of the science modules focuses on how to develop training programmes for performance enhancement.
