About this course

This initial training programme enables recent and mature graduates who have experience of working with children and young people to become fully qualified educational psychologists; this is about the study and understanding of people�s behaviour and the inter-relationship this has with organisational structures within educational and community settings; it develops skills in use of consultation, solution-focused practices, narrative practices and dynamic assessment and undertake supervised and assessed placements in schools, educational psychology services and the settings of other agencies and professionals who work with children.

Modules

During the 1st year students take 4 taught modules covering: key issues of inclusion and diversity; working in partnership; learning and social environments; and frameworks for practice. 2nd and 3rd years: students obtain employment as trainee educational psychologists whilst continuing their studies and undertaking research.
