This course was designed for people involved in tackling anti-social behaviour, such as professionals from the police force, housing organisations or community safety agencies; students learn how to find the best methods of dealing with community safety problems; effective partnership working is vital for identifying local problems and targeting preventive solutions; this course equips the student to work alongside other professionals to develop solutions and implement changes that really make a difference; as part of the course, students critically review an aspect of their organisation�s policy and practice, and draw on good practice to make recommendations for change; students also complete a detailed study of the legal remedies used to tackle anti-social behaviour and apply these to real life situations; this includes preparing legal documents; after completing the taught part of the course, students do a supervised work-based project on a topic of their choice; the course is led by leading experts in the field, Judy Nixon and Jane Petrie.
