This course is a vocational qualification, allowing students to combine theoretical learning and work experience; students undertake a series of specialist animal science and equine health modules combined with research and work-based modules.
Year 1: Core biology; comparative anatomy and physiology; principles of equine health and fitness; animal diversity and evolution; animal husbandry. Year 2: Animal welfare; animal nutrition; equine health and disease management; animal behaviour; animal nursing and rehabilitation.
