This course suits those who wish to pursue a career with, or develop their passion for animals, with an emphasis on behaviour or conservation; there are 2 pathways: behavioural science and wildlife and conservation.
Year 1: Anatomy and physiology; principles of animal behaviour; nutrition; animal husbandry and reproductive science; wildlife management and conservation; plus 1 optional module from: principles of ecology; habitat conservation; ecological sampling. Year 2: Specialist research study; principles of behaviour management and analysis; wildlife and captive animal behaviour; animal health and welfare; domestic animal behaviour; plus 2 optional modules from: marine biology and environmental management; applied zoological science.
