This course is suited to students who wish to pursue a career connected with the professional care, management and behaviour of a wide range of animals. The course has a firm science foundation including behavioural science, biological science, and vertebrate anatomy and physiology and four animal behaviour and welfare modules. Students are required to undertake relevant work experience. Key skills are provided in communication, ITC and problem solving to prepare students for middle managerial positions in the various animal industries. Students have the option to progress to the final year of our honours degree programme in Animal Science or Applied Animal Behaviour.
Students should be at least 18 years old with an A2 pass in a science or a National Diploma with merits and distinctions.
