The course equips students with the analytical approaches, methodologies and tools to structure and analyse problem situations to improve the decision-making processes and outcomes in industry, business and the public sector; the approach is to consider the application of analytical methodologies and tool kits to common problem areas across business and management, using case studies, individual and team-consulting based assignments and software tools.
Typical units include: Problem structuring modelling and optimisation; applied statistics and business forecasting; simulation and risk analysis; and decision analysis and performance management; plus a range of optional units.
