East Malling Short Courses aims to serve this sector by providing high quality training for legislative requirements, such as pesticides application training and other disciplines such as first aid, forklift, tractor driving, chainsaw use and plant husbandry.
EMSC has already become a registered Lantra Awards approved Training Provider and can also provide training for a wide variety of NPTC certificates of competence. East Malling Short Courses intends to be highly responsive to the industry’s training needs and increase the portfolio of courses offered as governed by demand.
Due to the large range of pesticides sprayers located on site at EMR, the outstanding associated facilities and available land, our aim is to become a centre of excellence for pesticides training in the South East.

These largely practical workshops will concentrate mainly on top fruit varieties such as apples and pears. You will find out how to make the most of your garden and how you can produce a good crop of juicy fruit in a small area. A light lunch is provided. £75 per person
