Course Description
This part time course is for students who wish to work in an airport as an Airport Passenger Services agent. Alternatively it could be studied by those who already have experience but do not hold any qualifications. Topics studied include: Deal effectively with the processing of aircraft passengers; Identify the boarding procedure for aircraft passengers; Identify the procedures for decontrolling aircraft passengers; Understand aircraft knowledge required by the Airport Passenger Services agent; Research the airport industry and the role of the Airport Passenger Services agent; Procedures involved in disembarkation of airline passengers. Additional Qualifications: Spanish; Key Skills, Information Technology, Numeracy and Communications; First Aid at Work. After the course employment in the airport is a natural progression, however other areas of the industry where customer service skills are required would also be suitable jobs to apply for.
Entry Requirements
You must have an excellent command of the English language. To start the course you will need to have two GCSEs at grade C or above in Mathematics and English. Alternatively if you hold an appropriate level 1 qualification, you may also apply. Subject to approval

Venue Description
This site includes the A Level centre, a specialist dance floor for Performing Arts students, a fitness centre for practical training of sports courses, an airline cabin simulator, for students studying travel and tourism, child care and social care learning centres including a sensory room, a film studio, theatre, media editing suite, new digital labs and photographic studios. sessional childcare is offered at different sites. The College is committed to ensuring that disabled people, including those with learning difficulties are able to achieve their potential. All reasonable adjustments are made to see that they are not disadvantaged. The Learning Resource Centre provides a comprehensive range of facilities and services to support study, which includes books, journals, study space, multimedia and electronic materials, and access to the internet.
