Course Description
The aim of this programme is to create enhanced vocational and work related learning opportunities for 14-16 year olds in Lincolnshire who can benefit most from a flexible curriculum. The course is made up of 7 units studied for one day a week: Unit are as follows: Safe and Effective Working Practices; Developing Performance in Land-based industries; Use Transport and assist with maintenance of tools and equipment; Introduction to crop systems; Assist with the repair and maintenance of structures in the countryside; Assist with the repair and maintenance of surfaces and ancillary structures in the countryside; Carry out tractor operations
Assessment method
All units are assessed and graded pass or fail. A Portfolio of evidence is completed to demonstrate the students achievements and this component will be graded pass, credit or distinction. Assessment is through a combination of continuous assessment and observation, assignments, projects and practical tasks
