Course Description
This course benefits to those are responsible for maintaining financial, technical and legislative records within a land based business. It is designed to: ensure farm business managers to comply with the requirements of farm assurance schemes; ensure that accounts and payroll are maintained by trained, competent personnel enable farm business managers to comply with farm legislation in regard to stock movements, welfare of stock and health and safety; ensure that stock application records for pesticides and fertilizers are maintained in line with legislation; improve efficiency of farms and holdings by scheduling of programmes and recording of inputs and outputs. The benefits of using computerised systems and spreadsheets are also covered.

Assessment method
To achieve this qualification candidates must pass written and practical examinations in units 1 and 2 and either 3 or 4. The pass mark is 70% in each paper. Examinations will cover both practical activities and underpinning knowledge.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements but participants should have worked in an agricultural environment and have office skills, including computer literacy to level 2.
