Advertising is 1 of the most influential sources of creative ideas in popular culture; the course combines a critical examination of the impact of advertising messages with practical projects that develop hands on creative skills, the programme prepares students for a rewarding career in advertising, brand management, corporate communications and/or public relations; commercial music production provides grounding in many aspects of the commercial music industry and is a practice based course that covers technical matters such as music mixdown, recording techniques and computer based sequencing, as well as more traditional music industry disciplines, such as A&R, music law and marketing practice.
