In collaboration and partnership with the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, the programme is suitable for healthcare professionals from all disciplines; the course covers the needs of individuals with spinal cord injury; the course provides students with the opportunity to expand and synthesise knowledge, evidence and practice in the quest for clinical excellence in spinal cord injury management; the programme is delivered by satff within the fields of spinal cord injury management, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, clinical psychology, social work as well as end users with spinal cord injury.
Modules include: spinal cord injury concepts and management approaches (30 credits); rehabilitation of spinal cord injury (30 credits); managing spinal cord injury: continuing care (30 credits); teaching, learning and assessment in spinal cord injury management (30 credits); a dissertation which includes a research module (total 60 credits).
Applicants normally have completed an Honours degree or equivalent; consideration is given to applicants who do not hold a full degree but that have demonstrated academic competence at an undergraduate level, hold a professional qualification and or work in a clinical environment that supports spinal injuries; all applicants are interviewed.

Too little content. Schedule far too meandering & aimless. Whole program very vague. Some good content too thinly spread.
