Advanced creative writing develops students writing ability by widening their generic range and developing their knowledge of style; the course works on the forms introduced in the level 2 course Creative writing (A215) of fiction, poetry and life writing, and supplements these with dramatic writing, showing students how to write for stage, radio and film; students explore how these scriptwriting skills might enhance their prose style, improve their writing across the range of forms, and further develop their individual style and voice; the course offers guidance on professional layouts for the dramatic media, and is a natural progression from A215.
