This course covers how to deal with news stories and features quickly and accurately, plus tips on treading the fine line between rewriting and heavy subbing plus practical exercises with copy from their publication. Content includes breaking up features, the sub as a writer, making dull technical copy sparkle, dealing with difficult writers, revising page proofs, writing sharper headlines, stand firsts and captions, breakout boxes that work harder, learning the shortcuts for fast and accurate subbing and coaching junior subs.
Participants should have least two years of subbing experience.
