This vocational award is based on professional scholarship, aimed at those already working in the computing industry, who wish to develop themselves academically to masters� level in association with their practical work in industry; the award is project based and after initial training in research methods students progress through certificate and diploma stages to masters level, which is intended to help you develop skills to masters level; students first research and study a subject in breadth, then develop the ability to study a more specialist area in depth before finally demonstrating mastery in their chosen subject area; the subjects chosen are normally connected to the work they are doing in employment but the solutions required must have an academic research bias.
