This course develops advanced knowledge and understanding of issues, theories and research at the forefront of adult literacies discourse and practice; students develop the capacity to analyse critically evidence, arguments and discourses to support professional judgements in complex and ambiguous situations; students apply advanced knowledge and understanding of a range of theoretical perspectives and approaches to enhance personal professional practice; students develop the confidence and capability to shape and lead change in a variety of lifelong learning policy and practice settings; students exploit opportunities to use research to generate professional knowledge and enhance policy and practice.
Modules include: practice tutor award; powerful literacies; leadership in professional settings; professional enquiry; dissertation.
