The course will provide a unique opportunity for in-depth study of the transitional period between childhood and adulthood - the teenage years!; it aims to: support the continuing professional development of those working with young people by enhancing their knowledge and understanding of theory and research relating to a range of issues concerning biological, social and cognitive processes that affect those entering puberty and adolescence; develop concepts, skills and techniques to enable students to engage with the scientific rigour of psychology; provide the opportunity to identify a specific area within adolescent psychology for research.
