Course Description
The aim of the course is to provide a framework and tools for applying the systems approach to managing systems and processes as an integrative activity. The programme also allows candidates to consider administration in its wider business and environmental context. It introduces candidates to some of the key concepts of higher level business discourse. Candidates develop knowledge and understanding of the key principles involved in managing organisational resources and to provide an appreciation of the tools and techniques associated with managing finance, projects and facilities. Candidates also develop knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of managing human resources in the organisation.

Assessment method
The units are assessed by three hour closed book examination. The paper comprises of a choice of 4 question, from 8, designed to assess the depth and breadth of candidates' knowledge of the unit.

Entry Requirements
Students should have completed NVQ Level 4 or UK degree or equivalent international qualifications.
