In this course students understand the principles of adjudication, the most common method of dispute resolution in construction; they gain a sound knowledge of the law of contract, tort and evidence and an analytical and critical approach to the application of legal principles; they also gain knowledge of the relevant processes required to act as an expert witness or prepare cases going to adjudication.
Part 1: contract, tort and evidence; principles of adjudication; part 2: adjudication practice and procedure; drafting and decision writing.
