This programme offers exemptions in the core applications concept and all 6 specialist technical subjects of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries; it provides preparation for research degrees in actuarial science and related fields; all students take a course in financial risk management and an introduction to strategy and business.
Students then choose from optional courses including: investment and asset management; life insurance; general insurance; pensions; derivative securities; health insurance; financial extreme value statistics; and stochastic asset-liability modelling; computing methods are also taught throughout the programme.
