This course is for people with little or no experience of acting who want to experience being in front of the camera. It will introduce them to the technical demands of working in television and film, with a focus on the actors craft and responsibility.

Day one will explore the actor’s process, script preparation, relaxation, concentration, characterisation and minimalism for the camera.  Day two will look at rehearsal techniques using script, filming with camera and refining a performance following feedback and self-reflection. The course is entirely practical where you will be working in a studio space with camera, monitor and play back facilities. The opportunity of watching the filmed material will become your key learning tool.
