This course aims to bridge the gap by giving students a chance to experience the demands placed on actors, appreciate what a trained actor can contribute to the shaping of a role, and discover how to get the best from that training in keeping with the director??s vision. It provides a solid overview of the twentieth century's most influential acting practitioners. The exercises are based on students participation and are very much oriented towards acting for film. Through them they will acquire the understanding and vocabulary they need to get the performances they are looking for.
