There can be little doubt that having knowledge of computerised accounting packages will enhance prospects of employability and career progression.
The majority of small and medium enterprises have converted from manual accounting to computerised systems. This is still ongoing and will tend to grow rapidly. On this course you will learn about the Sage computerised accounts programme.
All computerised accountancy packages work on similar principles with slight variations regarding the commands and layout. Courses are offered at two levels:
City & Guilds Level 1
This course is delivered in two and a half hours a week over 10 weeks with an examination of one hour in week 10. Content includes the following:
The aim of level one is to familiarise you with SAGE so you are able to find your way around the system.
Level 1 There are no entry qualifications needed to join this course, though a basic understanding of bookkeeping would be useful and a basic knowledge of computers would be beneficial.
