In the study of law we investigate the impact of law on personal and group relations, the economy, and generally upon the whole culture. Moreover, we see law not merely from national viewpoints but also from an international perspective. Many issues are transnational in character and require international solutions or national solutions influenced by international experience, and this is reflected in many of the units.
