This course leads the participants to learn the topics like computing skills, technology and applications, electronics and low level programming, high level programming, business organization, Maths, communications, study skills, work-shadowing and application to higher education through UCAS. On successful completion they may progress on to a variety of degree programmes at university including computer-related courses, engineering and maths.
GCSE Equivalent in English or Maths and at least a Level 2 qualification in the other one. IT skills are also needed. Participants who wish to be considered by the University of Sheffield will need a high level of Mathematical ability and to have on entry a GCSE equivalence Maths qualification.
