This course provides the opportunity to gain the Practical Skills required to support access onto a Farriery Apprenticeship, subject to finding an ATF. Chichester College is one of only a few colleges to be granted permission by the NTFA to run this course. Students attend College for two and half days per week. Units include: Practical Forging Workshop Practice Blacksmithing - Practical & Theoretical Functional Skills. Successful completion of this course, which comprises NPTC Forging Certificate and PEO Engineering, can lead to a Farriery Apprenticeship, which leads to a Farriery qualification. It is also a good progression course for Artist Blacksmiths.
