AS year one, A level year two (as part of a full time A level programme). The AQA Baccalaureate is a complete curriculum programme that extends education beyond academic study, to help you ‘stand out’ amongst university applicants. The AQA Baccalaureate is based on A Level subjects as these are the principal means for assessing students academically, and includes three more elements to provide a broader life skills education. You will be rewarded with: · preparation for higher education · proof of your commitment to your chosen field of study · confidence for applications and interviews · recognition for your involvement in enrichment achievements · a portfolio of achievements · independent learning skills, community spirit, leadership skills and work experience The AQA Baccalaureate is made up of: · Depth of study: Any three A Level subjects to provide in-depth academic study and to test knowledge, understanding and application. · Broader Study: AS Level in Critical Thinking to develop analytical thinking and learning skills. · Enrichment Activities: Formal recognition of non-academic pursuits that develop valuable skills and qualities, such as teamwork, initiative and leadership. · Extended Project: Development of independent learning, self-management and research ability through completion of an extended project.
6 GCSEs at B. Must include C or above in English Language and mathematics.
