The contents of this course include welcome and introduction to the course, core gas safety competencies, changes in gas safety legislation over the past 6 years, gas emergency actions and procedures, characteristics of combustion, ventilation, installation of pipe work and fittings, test for tightness, checking and/or setting meter regulations, identification of unsafe situations, the operation and positioning of emergency controls, emergency notices and warning labels, the operation and checking of gas safety devices and controls, medium pressure meters, flueing and ventilation standards, installation of open, balanced and fan-assisted flues, Flue testing, Re-establishing the gas supply and re-lighting appliances, formal assessment and examination.
