This course is for those who wish to gain a thorough theoretical understanding of the subject, perhaps in preparation for study at a higher level. It is based on both British and European history. The British History consists of the study of the Tudor Dynasty from 1483 to 1603. The European History deals with Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945 and Tsarist and Soviet Russia from 1855 to 1991. Students may progress to university. Alternatively an A level in history may be used for entry into a wide variety of occupations.
