"The emphasis of this course is very much on the �art of photography� with a creative and experimental approach. Lens and light based media is a form of personal enquiry and expression involving the selection and manipulation of images. Students must use approaches that go beyond mere observation and recording. The AS Level in Photography is an introduction to the main ideas and practices of this ever-broadening subject. Students will develop a personal style in studio photography, portraiture, and photo-journalism as well as having the opportunity to experiment with processing techniques. This will be achieved through a variety of briefs and use of both digital and dark room approaches. A great deal of emphasis is put on ideas-generation and sketch book work."
"5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Mathematics, Art and English and a minimum average points score of 5.0, together with an interview and portfolio of work."
