This subject is available to students studying at Norton or Peaks on a full time A level programme as one of 3 or 4 subjects. This subject will be taught at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College requiring attendance for 2 half days per week. On the course you will:- · Develop your making skills · Produce creative and innovative ideas · Use industrial standard computer aided design software to model your ideas · Have the opportunity to link with industry eg. Rolls Royce, Gripple…. · Develop your ability to analyse products · Integrate the use of Computer Aided Manufacture machines in the realisation of your products · Work in, brand new, high tech facilities · Use 3D Scanning and rapid prototyping technology · Learn how to apply information technology · Link with local universities · Have an opportunity to enter your work into the National Science and Engineering Competition – the Big Bang · Have an opportunity to apply for an Arkwright Scholarship
