This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. The course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Duration: A minimum of 6 hours consisting of theoretical and piratical activities. Certification: Assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a 3 year qualification will be issued to those who meet the criteria. Numbers: Maximum of 12 students are allowed and be aged a minimum 16 years or above. Bigger groups can be catered for, however additional tutors will be required. This one day course is proving to be very popular, which was introduced in October 2009 by the HSE. The changes were aimed at making sure business’s could easily assess their first aid needs and appropriately train their staff in first aid. This course is aimed at companies who have assessed their first aid needs and placed themselves in the low risk category. A range of subject will be covered including resuscitation, heart attacks, bleeding and fractures.
