Course Description
In 2 Samuel we follow the story King David from his accession to the throne to his last days. This course examines this part of the history work of the Bible by asking the following questions: What historical evidence do we have for the period? What are the literary techniques used in the work? What are the theological motivations of the author? How has the work been read by subsequent Jewish and Christian audiences?
Equipment and Materials
Participants should bring a Bible to the class.
