This course is made up of 6 units which are as follows: The Sector in Context, Principles and Values in Practice, Partnership Working, Communication and Information Sharing, Personal and Professional Development in the Work Environment, Safeguarding and Protecting individuals and Society. They will also complete 20 days on a work placement, complete an extended project and develop their personal learning and thinking skills.
Students are expected to have BTEC First Certificate or Diploma in a related subject, intermediate GNVQ in a related subject at Merit level or 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English Language Functional Skills Literacy and Numeracy at level 2, a suitable reference, an enhanced CRB check and a successful interview.
