Subject Focus: Learn your new language The benefits of Language classes

Learn your new language

If you’re always putting off learning a new language, try the Language Show in October, and kick-start those language lessons

One of the most useful and fulfilling skills you can learn is a new language. If you like to travel, are looking to broaden your career options, or simply want to read the original version of a translated novel you love, learning a language can be immensely satisfying and rewarding. For three days from 21 October every year The Language Show takes over London’s National Hall, Olympia. the Language Show is Britain’s first consumer exhibition for language learners, teachers and anyone with a real passion for languages.

With exhibitors, presentations, talks and seminars, you’re bound to come away with renewed motivation to brush up your skills whether you are a total beginner, a slightly rusty intermediate, or even a language teacher or linguist. Showcasing many of the different ways to learn – from evening classes and language schools to distance learning, self study courses, tapes, CDs and software – a visit to the Language Show can offer a practical step forward as well as the encouragement you need to start learning. Registration for free tickets opens in July.
