Ozge talks about her creative side, newly-discovered thanks to the interior design course at St Martin’s…

‘It was my passion for art and design that led me to choose an interior design course. I’m keen to have a career with a more creative output. I went through a long research process and I eventually decided that  St Martin’s was the right place for me. I discovered the College through searches on the internet and was impressed by the practical, vocational nature of the courses and the College’s convenient location in Holborn.

The teaching is fantastic (the tutor is a practising interior designer), and I enjoy model making and working with different materials. Most of all I enjoy being creative and constantly thinking of new and exciting ideas. In a typical course session there is a short lecture about a new subject, then we start working on our individual projects and the tutor gives guidance to us individually, discussing different aspects of our project.

The course has exceeded my expectations. It’s very hard work juggling the course with working full time, but I’m enjoying it, and I feel more creatively inspired than I have in years. The course helped me discover my creative side, which I wasn’t aware existed! I’m seriously considering changing my career and enrolling on a full-time degree course.’
